Moray West Windfarm Project (Onshore Works)

Project Overview:

The project features 60 offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 882 MW, situated 22.5 km off the coastline in the Moray Firth, Scotland. Power is transmitted via two offshore substation platforms, and carried through a buried export cable that runs ashore near Sanded Bay. The onshore cable route runs underground for 30km, taking the generated power to the onshore substation at Whitehillock, and onto the connection point with the National Electricity Transmission Network at Blackhillock Substation.
