Commercial Management of Onshore Construction Works

Project Overview:

The project features 60 offshore wind turbines with a total capacity of 882 MW, situated 22.5 km off the coastline in the Moray Firth, Scotland. Power is transmitted via two offshore substation platforms, and carried through a buried export cable that runs ashore near Sanded Bay. The onshore cable route runs underground for 30km, taking the generated power to the onshore substation at Whitehillock, and onto the connection point with the National Electricity Transmission Network at Blackhillock Substation.

Role / Scope of Service:

Client required post contract management of the onshore construction works, connecting 2 x 30Km 220kV & 400kV cable circuits to the connection point at Blackhillock Substation.

• Management of subcontractor work scopes on behalf of the principal contractor.
• Interim valuations, site measurement, and payment certification as per contract conditions.
• Quantity take-offs for preparation of Bill of Quantities.
• Valuation of work done (VOWD) / forecasting Cost to complete (CTC) remaining work scopes.
• Contract / Claims Management.
