Project Overview:

The NLNG Complex is located at Finima on Bonny Island, approximately 40km south of port harcourt in rivers state, Nigeria. The train 7 expansion project is to enable the production of an additional 7.6 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG. 4.2 mtpa coming from one new liquefaction train (Train 7), and 3.4 mtpa from the debottlenecking of the existing 6-Train Liquefaction units. The upgrade supports total production capacity to more than 30 mtpa from the current 22.5 mtpa.

Role / Scope of Service:

Client requested a schedule of man-hour, materials & labour unit rate estimating norms, which could be utilized throughout the bid / tender evaluation stage of the project. These estimating norms were used as a benchmark comparison tool vs Contractor tender return, allowing the client to successfully secure $3 Billion Final Investment decision (FID).

Work involved creating / benchmarking estimating norms for the following disciplines:

• Piping, Fittings & Valves
• Structural Steel
• Electrical, Instrumentation & Telecoms (E,I&T)
• HVAC & Architectural
• Painting, Insulation & Fireproofing
• Scaffolding & Sheeting
